Maribeth Boelt, Author of "Before You Were Mine", joins The Doggie Chronicles to talk about her children’s story for adopting a shelter dog. Maribeth talks about how she came up with the idea to write this story which is based on her own experiences. Her dog Peach was put down and then her and her family went to the shelter to find another family pet. After getting there new dog from the shelter Maribeth began to wonder what the dogs life was like before she ended up at the shelter. After thinking about this for a while she decided to write the book.
