Holly Jansen with Dogs in the Closet joins hosts Lisa Gorman and Scott Sheppard to explain how their doggy t-shirts help shelter pups find new homes. She discusses how she started the company with help from family members. Their humorous t-shirt designs help dogs get attention during adoption days and have increased their chances of being chosen. Lisa and Scott review current dog news and story highlights of the week. Lisa delivers the Doggie Chronicles Tip of the Week all about dressing up your dog.
Lisa and Scott discuss the Mean Puppy Clothing Company whose t-shirts, pet beds, and other items’ sale proceeds are donated to their Vengeance for Animals Fund that helps homeless and shelter pets find care and homes. They develop many programs to help unwanted, abused animals find help. They also have a program, which takes in pets from people who are too ill to care for them any longer. As possible they arranged for the dogs to see and visit their owners rather than be placed in a new or foster home.
