Maureen Sheridan with The Animal House in Jamaica joins The Doggie Chronicles to talk about the challenging task of rescuing dogs after hurricanes. Jamaica has been stricken by numerous storms and resources for pets are scarce. The Animal House Jamaica has been helping stray, injured, abandoned, and feral (wild) animals and their owners for more than six years. They provide food, shelter, medical care (including spay and neuter), and adoptive services to both animals and owners in need. Maureen tells us all about the efforts that are being made to help homeless and stray animals in Jamaica many of which are coming from the U.S. and other countries. Maureen also tells us how we can help.
